Dear Sisters, Please let me know of the serious illness or death of any Auxiliary Sister and I would be glad to post it on this page. This will help keep all Auxiliaries informed. So we may all offer our help and prayers.

_____________________________________________________________________________________ Saturday, August 23, 2008 Hello Ladies, I am sad to report that we have lost a dear Auxiliary Sister. Doris “Jean” Hoiness pasted away this morning. Jean was the sister of our Junior Past Department President, Ellen Stogsdill. Jean was a Past District 2 President and A Past President of Auxiliary 4809 in Norfolk. Visitation will be at Holloman Brown Funeral Home, Monday August 25th from 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be at Albert Horton Cemetery in Suffolk, on Tuesday August 26th at 11:00 a.m. There will be a reception for family and friends at VFW Post 4809 following the funeral.

PDP Barbara Grossnickle was in a car accident on July 11, 2008. Someone ran into the back of her. She is okay, but is doing therapy each day and is only working 3 hours a day. Cards can be sent to her at the following address.

I just received a telephone call from Sister Pat Baldwin. After a lengthy illness, Wallace Baldwin (Pat's brother-in-law) passed away this morning (Monday, July 21, 2008). There will be a wake for him at the Shorter Funeral Home on Main Street in Farmville on Tuesday between 7 - 8:30 pm.

TO: National Line Officer Past National Presidents NDCMs National Directors Department Presidents Department Secretaries VFW NOTICE OF DEATH GLENN GROSSMAN PAST NATIONAL PRESIDENT 1975-76
Glenn Grossman, Past National President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, passed away the morning of July 14, 2008.
Services for Glenn include a visitation on Thursday, July 17 from 2:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. at the Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60643.
Her funeral will be held Friday, July 18 at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church with the funeral procession beginning at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home and the services following at 11:00 a.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Cancer Aid and Research Fund or Operation Uplink.
